Obama to order checks of "troubling" mines (Reuters)

Reuters - President Barack Obama on Thursday will order immediate inspections of U.S. mines with bad safety records when he receives a report on last week's West Virginia coal disaster that concludes "far too many mines" are not safe enough, a White House official said.
