Ben Patterson - Plenty of smartphones offer the option of sharing their 3G connections with laptops or other devices via a USB cable. Heck, some handsets even act as mobile Wi-Fi ***spots. Yet AT&T has yet to offer iPhone users the option of Internet tethering — although a just-spotted change in the latest beta of the upcoming iPhone 4.0 OS hints that the policy is about to change.
